Intern as business development for start up

Hi everyone, Please do let me know if you this this can go to any other useful subs ! Thanks.

I am in my first year in business school. I am currently doing an internship with my cousins bf who has just opened his business. He works in Agriculture - no watering or pesticides his products. He is currently selling to a Michelin star restaurant and meeting set up, next week with an upper class business who owns four Brasserie around Paris.
(Aiming to get investors in return for exclusivity of products.)

I am also helping his fathers business to set up co-working areas, culinary events and other events.

I am currently doing all his business plans + cash flow forecast / management / logistics / strategies etc. Nothing was written down before or done... so basically everything i am doing is impacting / helping his business directly.

I love what i am doing, however if they didn't employ me or someone else, not much would have been done. They are not business or number people at all...

However i am not getting paid. ( not my biggest concern) their cash flow is very limited...

Can i negotiate or discuss any other ways for getting compensated for my work?

Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts ?

Thanks !
